The genetic basis of Chinese population is different from the Western populations, warranting a cancer susceptibility gene mutation database based upon Chinese population which will contribute to genetic counseling, cancer risk assessment and clinical management. The Chinese Familial & Hereditary Cancer Susceptibility Gene Mutation Database（CFCSG-database）is initiated and founded by Professor Xie, the first chairman of the Committee of Familial and Hereditary Cancer of China Anti-Cancer Association. The database focused on classification of sequence variants and collecting the pathogenic variants in cancer susceptibility genes, as required to aid in the communication of such information between the clinical and scientific research practice.
